The author has a fondness for history, particularly the early American and British colonial periods.  The author is a member of the King’s 8th Regiment, Detroit 1768-1785, a living history group based in Detroit, Michigan.  The author also has memberships with the Brigade of the American Revolution, the Historic Fort Wayne Coalition, and the Detroit Institute of Arts.
